With my background in managing marketing strategy for private and public sector organisations, I work closely with businesses, brands, and individuals to create high-quality content that engages, inspires, and delivers results.

I’ve been working with camera equipment for almost two decades, I’ve taught camera techniques and best practice at universities, managed a hire-store of photography and film production equipment, and continue to seek out the best in camera technology. I’m always seeking out innovative new technologies and techniques which allow me to elevate my work even further.

I work closely with clients to ensure that their vision is fully realised, and I’m always ready to adapt to changing requirements or unexpected challenges. With a background developing private and public-sector marketing and communications strategies, I know how important it is to create content that doesn’t just look good but also performs well. From understanding your brand’s tone to identifying key messaging and communications strategies, I make sure that the visuals are crafted to support your campaign objectives.

Q&A
What do you love most about what you do?
What I love most about what I do is being able to bring ideas to life and tell stories in a way that really reaches people. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, it has the ability to take you out of the regular everyday for just a moment and immerse you in a completely different world or perspective.
I also love the variety, no two days are ever the same. One day I might be filming a promo film for a hydro energy developer in the remote Scottish highlands, and the next I’ll be capturing a high-energy conference filled with inspiring speakers and entrepreneurs. The combination of creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills allows me to be constantly engaged and adaptable to any situation.
More than anything though, I love the impact my work has. Knowing that my work is helping my clients promote their brand or showcase their project is such a great feeling.
What’s your style/approach to projects?
My approach to every project is a blend of creativity, strategy, and attention to detail. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, every client has a unique vision, and my goal is to bring that to life in a way that feels authentic and impactful.
I start by getting to know my clients, understanding their goals, audience, and brand identity. I take the time to plan every detail, from concept development to final edits, ensuring the end result is not only visually stunning but also aligned with the client’s messaging and objectives.
Whilst on location, I like to keep things professional yet relaxed. A great shoot happens when everyone feels comfortable, this helps to create an environment where creativity can flow naturally. Post-production is where the magic happens. This is where I refine the visuals, enhance the storytelling, and ensure the final product exceeds expectations.
Ultimately, my approach is about collaboration and quality. I’m here to make the process seamless and enjoyable while delivering high-quality imagery and video that truly makes an impact.
What industries or types of clients do you enjoy working with?
I really enjoy working with clients who are truly passionate about what they do, and wholeheartedly believe in the positive impact their work can have. It’s always incredibly inspiring to collaborate with a business or individual who are not just going through the motions, but are genuinely drive by their values and purpose.
When I partner with clients who live and breathe their brand values, it feels like we’re working towards a shared goal. Their enthusiasm fuels the creative process, and it’s amazing to see their vision come to life through the content I create. I love helping them communicate their story in a way that’s authentic, impactful, and aligned with the change they’re working to create.
What do you do when you’re not behind the camera?
Storytelling has always been a part of both my work and personal life, through exploring new places, discovering new hiking trails, or travelling the world. My partner Katie shares my spirit for adventure, and together we have had some amazing adventures. This high-energy spirit is accompanied by a slower pace of life as well. I love working in my garden allotment growing all sorts of fruits, vegetables, and more recently different varieties of flowers. My perfect evening would be getting cosy next to our fireplace playing a board game from our ever-growing collection, with our two cats Callie & Midi snuggled up on the sofa.
